Southside Park on Battery Creek Road has two Tennis Courts available to the general public, one of the tennis courts is taped to mark two Pickleball courts. Pickleball play is available for all residents on a first come first serve basis and players need to bring their own portable Pickleball nets, paddles and balls.

The Southside Pickleball Group plays at a 3.5-4.0 skill level on Monday & Wednesday starting at 5:00 pm. Please contact Matt Straut at 843.521.9596 for more information.

There is also a group from the Sea Islands Pickleball Club that starts at 3.0 and plays some mornings (more information on our site). The Sea Islands Pickleball Club is a public member group with an elected Board of Directors. The Club is a volunteer run, non-profit organization in northern Beaufort County. Our Club provides recreational play for diverse players and welcomes newcomers as well as visitors.

Currently we play at Southside Park Tennis Courts on Battery Creek Road using one tennis court taped to mark two Pickleball courts. We use portable Pickleball nets that we set up and remove each time we play. We meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for play from 8:00 until 10:00 am.

Our Club’s primary focus is working with local government officials to encourage the creation of dedicated public Pickleball courts in northern Beaufort County. This will enable us to increase our membership base and help grow the sport in our area.

The mission of Sea Islands Pickleball Club is to provide the recreational style of our core group while working with local officials to promote the growth of Pickleball for a diverse player community in northern Beaufort County.
