BYSC offers a variety of activities, one being Pickleball. Play began on existing tennis courts with portable nets in early 2018. We are now excited to be playing on 6 new, dedicated, pickleball courts.
During the pandemic the Club discontinued all sponsored play. The enthusiasm of the players, however, did not decrease. Play has continued as prior to Covid with several scheduled times a week. Two days a week there is play for all levels, both men and women players. Other times are dedicated to women and still other times to highly ranked players. The Club encourages all members to try the sport, provides paddles and informal instruction. Our courts are also often in use for casual play by our members and their guests.
In the past we have had clinics, league play, a small tournament and invited other clubs to join us. As we see the end of the pandemic in the near future we look forward to events with other Beaufort County clubs planned by Beaufort Pickleball Club.
